What if my server needs to be restarted?

How much bandwidth is included when I lease a server or collocation space?
Depending on your plan CalPOP offers 10 to 20 Mbps (megabytes per second) of unmetered bandwidth.
Do you offer a Control Panel to manage my website?
Yes, we offer cPanel as a Web Hosting Control panel as well as DirectAdmin and HostingController for Windows so you can easily manage your website.
Do you have remote KVM/IP devices available for use?
Yes, but supply is limited so they are provided on an as-needed basis. Unfortunately, we cannot leave them attached to your server permanently.
Do you provide Domain Name Service (DNS) services?
Yes, pointing your domain to our servers and we add record pointing to your server’s IP at no additional charge. We also can setup Reverse DNS on your server.
Can I come down and work on my colocated equipment?
You are welcome to visit CalPOP anytime, 24/7/365, we never close.
Can I come down and work on my Dedicated server?
Dedicated servers are leased equipment. Unfortunately, CalPOP only permits its own computer professionals to directly handle hardware issues, such as upgrades, using our own equipment. However, customers can provide us with certain equipment, such as an external USB drive, to be attached to your dedicated server.
Are there any restrictions as to what I can use my server for?
CalPOP is usually unconcerned how the server is utilized. However, we have a firm policy against child pornography, racial and ethnic hate content, and will not our servers to be used for spamming or hacking.
Do you have backup power?
Plenty of backup power is available. Our building has over 16 generators available. Also we have dual UPS batteries to assist in transitioning between utility
power and generator power. Your server will keep running even if Los Angeles goes dark.
